I work in aircraft structural repairs and know somewhat about forming metal. Have often wondered how the corrugations on the freight car bulkheads are formed. It would take quite a large press to form these, either hot pressed or cold pressed. It seems that this form of reinforcement is going away as we now see more structural beams on the bulkheads and sides of freight cars. I thank you for all the photos of the shop areas that you post, I love seeing them.
