Actually looks like some of the abominable creations they do to loco’s on MOW equipment. This thing would be right at home at a Herzog yard…

I always thought, or think, of "Rosie" the robot maid from the "Jetsons" cartoon when looking at this monstrosity. It does kind of resemble "her" in a way with the shape of that cab. Fortunately, Sid, they were all scrapped and put out of everyone's misery, thus, luckily, saving children the fright (and nightmares?) of seeing one of these in a museum or on a tourist line (God forbid). They were especially "ugly" when CSXT got a hold of a few and painted them in the "stealth" grey and blue scheme.

I've always had a taste for weird locomotives, and I'm often much more forgiving of aesthetic shortcomings in railroad equipment than most. Even I, however, must concede that these units were genuinely ugly. Charming in their own way, to be sure, but in possession of no redeeming styling features whatsoever.

I know some places elsewhere in the world where we could have shipped them and made a huge improvement. They know where they are. LOL.

Referred to as "Big Bertha's",I thought they were cool, and tried to serve a purpose.
