The cars and the railfans in this photo certainly have that classic 80's look to them! And yes - I agree with the clean stack comment. Every time I either rode behind or chased the 611 in my car back in the 80's, the 611 very rarely puffed much smoke out of the stack. Only once did I get a good photo of the 611 with a nice plume out of her stack.
