Oh the humanities! First SD45s get derated to 3,000hp "SD40" equivalents, now all the way down to a measly 2,000hp "SD38" equivalent. What is this, a Penn Central conspiracy?!

You know if they had made it an SD.39, with a V-12 engine, they would have had enough space left over for a small coffee bar…

Or maybe a crew compartment complete with beds and showers. You might be on to something! Just think what they could do with SD90/43MAC rebuilds - you might be able to get a bowling alley in there.
