That photo had me fooled for a moment: I thought it was one of Don Ball's or Don Woods' color slides out of "America's Colorful Railroads" or similar books! The pair of steamers, the Erie boxcar in the background made me think it was 1952 instead of 2022. Amazing photo!
BTW, didn't the Valley Railroad own and operate an Alco 2-8-0, maybe #97? Do you have any photos of that one? I remember it from a "Trains" magazine article back in the 80's how a man spent his summer as a fireman on the Valley Road.
