You are correct - we were spoiled back in the 1980's and 1990's! I rode behind each of these fine N&W locomotives individually. But unfortunately...I never got to ride behind the 611 and 1218 when they were double headed nor did I get to see the triple headed line up of N&W 611 and 1218 with NKP 587. Thanks for the good memories.
