Enjoy the scenes from the Modoc Route. Prior to the merger of D&RGW and SP, a daily train consisting mostly of lumber interchanged with UP in Ogden - running as EUOGY on SP and as the OS, or Oregon Special, from Ogden to North Platte. As of the time of this photo the Tennessee Pass route was to have its last great heyday as SP traffic kept to former Rio Grande rails. Always fine to see some Grande power, and on jointed rail! Bet that sounded good. Thanks.
