I have always tremendously enjoyed your postings.
A small detail, that I hope my memory has correct.
No 1 and No 2, the Mainstreeter, went through Butte.
No 25 and No 26, the North Coast Limited, went over Helena.
Again, I truly enjoy when you post pictures of the old Northern Pacific.

Oops! My apologies to all. I just checked my January, 1968 "The Official Guide of the Railways". Sure enough, my previous post has it backwards: No 1 and 2, the Mainstreeter in fact went over Helena, and No 25 and No 26, the North Coast Limited went via Butte. I should have done the research before posting. Once again, Mike, thank you for all the NP related pictures!
