No, the r/w/b paint was only about 20 years ago or so, might have been for a UAW election or something. The last RR-applied paint was NYC silver/gray.

Huh. I had two people who have lived here for over 4 decades tell me that it was painted for the bicentennial. Perhaps it was re painted later? I will put the question out there to some more locals to see if I can nail it down.
