The crummy with newer paint looks like it is also functioning inside for crews, unlike most sealed-up shoving platforms today.

They are in much better condition than other caboose shoving platforms. I agree the one with the fresh paint and the Mustang NS logo looks like it should be on the mainline at the rear of a long manifest freight. What I find most interesting are the 2 raised flat panels on the roof of both of these units. I am thinking they are solar panels for battery keeping.
