Wonderful picture. I truly hope scenes like this will still be available after the BNSF takeover. And I wonder if all the old power will disappear, too?

Very nicely done. I paid quite a few visits to this line in the early 2000s, some of which I posted on RPN, and hope to do so again this August. Thanks for some additional inspiration.

Reminds me of Washington Royal Line's operation to Royal City, WA. Sporadic operation kept alive by one shipper.

I would hope BNSF doesn't shut down this line but typical practice of the giant railroads stepping in and cutting service to smaller operations like this. They bring in a little revenue and are still valuable to short lines like MRL but thrown aside by the big guys. I wish MRL could still exist to just handle the locals throughout Montana and let BNSF handle the thru traffic.
