Wow! We lived south of Tacoma when I was a youngster and moved away in 1983. I truly believe the last time I saw any kind of snow accumulation that stayed on the ground more than a week was 1980. I remember before then, we usually got about 6 to 12 inches for about a week and then it would be gone.
