As a retired long distance truck driver, I have been down U.S. Highway 20 several times during my career. Very beautiful scenery. This photo is off U.S. Highway 20 between Thermopolis, Wyoming and Shoshoni, Wyoming near the Lower Wind River Campground (Boysen State Park) where I had parked my rig for the night several times near the entrance. There are three tunnels near this area for U.S. Highway 20 and three or four tunnels on the BNSF across the river. I was told by some residents there that BNSF usually ran three to five trains a day through the canyon. If you stay at the campground, you can see the trains entering and exiting the southern-most tunnel. Again, a very nice place to be - a scenic canyon, a river, and trains going into and out of tunnels.
