Neat shot, by this time seeing a Beltline move was rare, I think they had the Caltrains consist on display by the old yard trackage just north of Washington street. Thanks for showing us this cool photo.

What an amazing difference nearly 4 decades can make. There are far more trains, a rarity, though it's street cars. The best part is that big ugly highway is long gone. I believe it was demolished after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Huge improvement.

Great historic photo! This was the debut of Caltrain' re-painted former SP equipment, including the GP9 trailing. This turned out to be a unique short lived scheme. I photographed the display, but this is great with the former freeway and the SF Belt.
