Rick - you are right. There wasn't anything flashy about the late 1960 and early 1970's. The outside appearance of motive power was 'use-as-is' and units were lashed together with whatever was available in the yard to make up a train. Although it was neat to see various road names lashed together like PRR and NYC units who were once rival railroads.

Interesting how this route had different names under different owners; the Middle Division, Allegheny Division, and Pittsburgh Line.
