In addition to the nice looking old locomotive that is still operational, this area surely does has nice looking character to it!

Amazingly this was a green field back in 1971. All the museum buildings have been dismantled from around the North East of England and then rebulit on the site. This is the colliery area and there is also a 1913 main street with shops displaying goods from the time, an 1820's manor house and an early farm. At present they are constructing a 1950's town, which makes me feel very old!! Similar to Virginia City in Montana which i visited once a few years ago.

That is interesting. Went and looked briefly at their website but didn't catch that bit.
