Nice - thanks for sharing! Not many views shared looking to the east - a late June shot for good light. That's the NEC just ahead - at one time the tracks were all at street level with one station ("Union Depot") serving both the PRR and the CNJ. That all changed in 1890 when the City of Elizabeth, the United New Jersey Railroads and the PRR signed an agreement to elevate the PRR line (and upgrade from two to four tracks) to eliminate some of the dangerous road crossings through Elizabeth. On the CNJ side, several streets were lowered with bridges added to span the gaps.
