Also in the distance, close to the shore of Lake Michigan is the Amtrak line. The New Buffalo station, that serves the Wolverine trains, and the single Blue Water train, each way, every day. It runs alongside the marina in New Buffalo. This line carries the Pere Marquette train that goes from Grand Rapids to Chicago. it's too bad that they don't connect this line to the Amtrak line, letting the GR/Chicago line use the New Buffalo station

The Pere Marquette used to stop in New Buffalo before late 2009 when the station, which was located just past that road crossing, was moved to where it is today

Cool. I wasn't aware of that.

J. Randall Banks, there is no way physically for these two lines to connect for that to be possible.
Great shot, Brian!
