They mostly haul radioactive material (mainly metal), but they'll also haul what at least i would describe as mainly plain scrap metal, like what's being hauled on this day. It was good for us trackside because that meant they didn't need to have a buffer car, usually a caboose, since radioactive metal is a hazmat material.
