That is indeed a wonderful line. My mother grew up in Wilmette and her father took Metra to the L for work every day. He always talked of the history of the stations, and I noticed it whenever we'd drive along Green Bay Road. his girlfriend lived just a few houses down from Green Bay road, and I would walk the Green bay Trail a while, watching Metra trains.
