The lamp on top of the water spout is certainly interesting and something I have never seen before. Looks like the lamp displays the color red when the water spout is positioned over a locomotive, and it looks like the water spout lamp displays a different color when the water spout lamp is no longer positioned over a locomotive.

That is absolutely right, Jeff. When the arm of the water crane is swung back into the track axis, the lantern emits white light.
