Thanks for posting. It's nice to be reminded what this locomotive looked like when it was operational. In its current state, a vivid imagination is necessary.

It's a shame what happened to this engine. Before the Blue Mountain & Reading came on the scene with 425 and 2102, 972 was the go-to steamer for excursions in this area, and I have many fond memories of it. I don't know it Strasburg will ever complete its "vision" for it.
