Loudest steam locomotive I have ever seen....and I've been around more than a few. It's so odd to see what the "Four and a Quarter" looked like before she became the "Blue Pacific."

Kevin, the 425 is definitely loud- it sounds like a 737 at takeoff when doing things like pulling a train up the hill out of Pittston.

Having first seen No. 425 in blue (yeah, really), I think she looks odd in (gasp!) black. I guess you always think "authentic" reflects the look we first see? Certainly stands apart from the rest in blue, though much, much nicer in the most recent dark blue vs "Thomas" blue. What can I say - she IS a passenger locomotive! Nice catch, Bob - thanks for sharing.
