Dave, I have seen BNSF trains hauling loads of taconite southbound (railroad west) on the BNSF Hannibal Sub, which runs from Burlington, Iowa to St. Louis along the west side of the Mississippi River. Could these be the trains you mention here? They could cross over into Illinois at St. Louis and access the Granite City mill. Do you have any idea how often these trains run to Granite City? Bill

Bill - these are the same trains that you have seen in the past, except they came from Keewatin Taconite versus Minntac.
