This would be the older CPR line built in the 1880s. This track has the famous Stoney Creek Bridge, the highest bridge on the CPR. In the 1980s the CPR built the 14.7 km (9.1 mile) Mount MacDonald tunnel. The Rocky Mountaineer still has to pass thru the Connaught tunnel.
