Is that the actual Rock Island 4310 or a tribute?

That's better! It just needs some class lights now which I assume isn't going to happen since it's already painted. What shortline is this on?

Has to be a tribute. The original 4310 was a GP38-2 without dynamic brakes. As far as i know RI never owned GP38s.

This is the new Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific LLC. A shortline owned by Robert Riley in Hernando, MS. He owns the rights to the CRIP now.

Tribute. That's a term bandied about these days in the "muscle car" community. A few years ago it was "recreated" and before that it was "cloned" and before that it was "fake". It's amazing how PC keeps changing a simple word to make it more accepted. I'm 67 and have lived thru all 4 versions !

Well one has to wonder, if he owns the rights to the CRIP RR then is it really a fake or is it a Phoenix rising from the ashes. Either way I don't think I would have chosen bankruptcy Blue for my Rock Island return.
