As a retired BN engineer, I HATED to pull grain ! It's heavier that coal and had weaker Knuckles compared to coal trains. Rare was the time that we had pusher units of any kind. A lite hand on the throttle / brake was always necessary along with anticipation of what was ahead. I could literally feel 100 cars back in the seat of my pants an know exactly what that train was doing. I am sure that was true for any other HogHead that had been around a while.

Mike, it would sure be nice to be able to go to this spot and see a consist like this again.
