1919, a century of service. While the steel looks a bit rusty, the counter-weights seem to look new. Wonder if they were replaced in the recent past.

Is Private Club car #553 the 1 that has been seen on the Metra North district for the last few years. I remember doing a contract IT job at Great Lakes Naval Training center and seeing I go by just before 7:00 am on several days as I awaited the rest of my crews arrival. All I had was a cell phone and it was January so the light was too poor to get a nice shot of it.
