WOW ! Of ALL the years I spent staioned in this area and was both a commuter and "student" of the Boston & Maine, this is the FIRST time I have EVER heard even a "rumor" that electrification to Portland was ever even thought about. A High-frquency ellectric operation out to Salem, MA that would have been sort of an extension of the MBTA "Blue Line, maybe, but all the way to Portland ? YIKES !!
