Due to the confused situation today in Syria it is difficult to know what really happenned to this railcar. I hope that it has been protected in the shed and that it survived the war. As far as I know, it was still operational in 2005.

Ah. I'd meant that in the sense "how long before this picture", as in most places, old equipment seen in an environment like this could be assumed to be stored out of use.
