Amtrak should be embarrassed by how often its trains (particularly on the Corridor, most of which it owns) DO get stopped by snow, which shouldn't happen for any reason other than the catenary wires being damaged/cut or power outages. All it would take to avoid service disruptions is some snow and ice clearing equipment being run to keep things operational *during* storms - instead of running up the white flag until the storm is finished and THEN doing the snow clearing.
