Great set of photos again Daniel. Do you know if this line still operable?

John, many thanks for your kind comment. Very much appreciated! After many years of war, Syria has now started to rebuilt their rail network. Of the 2,450 kilometers of train tracks that cross Syria, some 1,800 kilometers will be repaired, according to the Syrian government. Stretches of track survived intact in the coastal provinces, areas relatively insulated from the violence. Routes that will be revived include those running north-south between Damascus, Homs and Aleppo, as well as lines between the coast and the country's east, bordering Iraq. Today, many lines even lack tracks. Some tracks were stolen and others were damaged because of the war. So I doubt that the branch line between Deraa and the Yarmouk gorge is still existing today. Kind regards, Daniel
