The first two cars are of PRR ancestry: the first is a Senator/Congressional parlor; the second is a former 21 roomette "inn" series sleeper converted in the early 1960s to a coach. The third car started life as a Norfolk and Western 10 roomette/6 double bedroom sleeper, but was obtained by the PRR for conversion to a coach in the same program that saw the rebuild of the former "inn" series sleeper.

All three cars are of Pennsylvania Railroad heritage. The first is a former "Senator/Congressional" parlor car. The other two are former PRR 21 roomete "inn" series sleepers converted to coaches in 1963-64.

Those "Inn-series" former sleepers made REALLY NICE coaches. Having logged an enormous number of hours/miles riding them in PRR / PC / MARC trains, it is good to know that some have gone on to the Baltimore & Ohio Museum. The partitioned "smoking lounge" areas at one end of the coach was definite plus for us non-smokers. In addition their interiors were pleasant and bright and the seats comfortable for hours. THANK YOU Budd Co. for having built them and PRR for having the good sense to convert them to a more profitable use.
