This scene reminds me of the many trips I made up and down Hwy 11 & 15.

Photos of trains in Perry County, especially Duncannon, in the 1980s and early 90s give me a surreal feeling.

Seems they were more confident of the locomotives reliability at the time !!!
Today they always ( most of the time ) run 2 locomotives elephant style in case the lead one have a failure .
