Is it just a coincidence that its road number is the same as its model number?

When YNYP purchased these units they renumbered them into the Locomotive model they were, such as seen here, 630 being an M630M, same for the C430’s which the WNYP has 3 of I believe, they are numbered 430, 431 & 432.
