Very nice shot Jeff. The GP38's are my favorite engines these days. Growing up on the MEC back in the 60's and early 70's, they were the largest engines that I saw. Living up here in Brownville Jct, they are the smallest engines that I observe, along with the occasional U-25's. Every once in a while, I will look out back and see 3 or 4 of the 38's in the yard. On those days, life is good.

Thanks Ken! I grew up along the Central Vermont down in CT right up through the mid-90s, and their last real power was the 5800-series GP38s. Usually three on a train. Even better was when New England Central took over, their power of choice was GP38s again. I'll never get enough of them even in this form of a GP38-3, and they will always be my favorite four axle EMD from the maker's second generation!
