Posted by Tim Colquett Jr. on May 3, 2019  Not to be confused with nearby Goldville, which actually got its name from Alabama's gold rush in the 1840s. Once everybody there heard about the gold in California, and most of the gold had been mined, the town was mostly abandoned.
