It is too bad that the bridge cannot be placed on the Historic Bridge List so that it won't be destroyed. It would probably make a good place for railfans in Atlanta to meet, watch, and photograph trains. I just hate to see historical items go to waste. It is kind of like my old 1977 Mack truck. It is still on the road on its third engine but it still does the job even if it considered an antique - a 237 HP diesel engine with twin stick transmission. You don't see that hardly anymore. Same for the old bridge. Old but still useful in its own way.
