Wow. This one looks nice and clean. Wonder if it had recently been painted. These GP35's as well as much of the other older equipment were sent out west after the 1977 bankruptcy as new management wanted the reliable newer power operating on the areas back East that the trustee intended to keep after reorganization. Because these oldies were neglected on maintenance by that time, breakdowns and stalls in the mountains further delayed already late trains. Sisters 1508 & 1511 were mainstays in the west as well at the end. Nice shot.
