Not knowing much about diesel-electric locomotive design, I'm amazed that all of that water doesn't cause problems with the unit's traction motors. I wonder how much more depth she can handle?

Thanks for the comments, the unit was actually being pushed through the water by another unit at the rear. The traction motors were cut out, and when the unit reached dry land they stopped and dried out the traction motors for ten minutes.
