Mike do you know what that shed and I-beam structure was used for? I remember seeing it briefly before it was taken down. Great shot of Cascade Green units.

Buffie: I’m thinking that the structure and “I beams” was at one time a “RIP” (repair in place) facility for freight car repairs, that included a small overhead crane.

From my observation, It looks like the ballast or gravel was leaking out after dumping some bewteen the track to the left of it, then parked on the siding over from it to the right and then left out a small pile on the tracks, you can see a small trail leading up to where it was spotted. Then the rip crew came over to check it out and decided the only way to close it would be to flip it over and spill the rest of it's contents to get the hart ballast doors closed to get to the problem. The car was only partially full and what was left in it you can see on the ground around it. And it doesn't look like they were in any hurry to get it back on the rails.
