FASCINATING collection of freight cars. I BELIEVE that first NY Central covered hopper was one of the series they built for hauling powdered cement. When run in strings they were sometimes referred to as "Cementipedes" in reference to the many-legged insect. I'm sure NYC had a better "official name" for them.
