So nice seeing a former Rock Island SD40-2 cleaned up and taken care of after years of hard service and neglect. ICG ended up turning over 6040-6049, ex-RI 4790-4799, to EMD, where they served in EMD's lease fleet for many years before being disbursed to short lines. The former 6041 now pulls for North Shore Mining, along with two of her former RI/ICG sisters.
