Jeff, in more ways than one. There were about 20 GG-1s parked there, plus people, railfans, and railroaders constantly coming and going to pay their last respects to these great locomotives that everyone thought would be around forever. In 1983-84, the E-44s and E-33s would be spotted in this same area. The yard, virtually abandoned back then, is a very busy place today.
