Consist is an ex-PRR bagagge/express, an ex-NYC "Stream" series 6 double bedroom sleeper/buffet-lounge, an ex-NYC "Valley" series 10 roomette/6 double bedroom sleeper, an ex-D&RGW (D&H 20-series) 52 seat coach, and an ex-Erie/EL 1000 ("Ten hundred") series streamstyled heavyweight coach.

I can't think of a more 70's way to show the D&H than a PA playing it's a steam loco!

Riding the "Montreal Ltd" has always been near the top of my "Could'a, Would'a, Should'a" list of trips along with the "North Coast Limited" and Pennsy's "Penn-Texas" all the way to St Louis. However, having made numerous trips on Amtrak's "Adirondack" it's hard to believe that even the Pullman passengers could have gotten what you would call "a good nights sleep" on the D&H.
