Its a SHAME the "GVRX" couldn't have been applied more neatly. As it is, it just looks like garffitti slapped on to these GREAT looking units. As Rodney Dangerfield said "I just can't get no respect !"

Rich, those are just there for transit. They’ll be repainted once they get to Texas.

Great grab. If those are the real road numbers there are photos on this site as far back as 1969. Was someone still running them? They look way to nice to have been sitting someplace. No other graffiti.

Marc, from what I understand, these have been stored since 2009. They were last used by ConnDOT, and I'm pretty sure that these are the original road numbers.

2014 & 2016 are certainly in the CORRECT original # SERIES. More info ( frame #s, etc) would be needed to determine whether they are the original New Haven numbers. I SUSPECT CDOT has probably already done this. Can anybody out there verify ??
