Clinchfield got one of these by some fluke after a wreck reduced their fleet. I enjoyed the sound, the early 567 sound, distinctively different from the later versions. I wish we had saved some FTs so it could be heard.

Sid, looks like Clinchfield got No. GN No. 180, becoming CRR No. 361. I’m thinking the only reason No. 181 was saved is that after GN it went to Anaconda Aluminum becoming their No. 100. As a side note, these NW3s were built as GN Nos. 5400-5406, later becoming GN Nos. 175-181.
