Scrapping a PRR cabin car that was built in 1916 - this is certainly a situation that screams 'unfortunate'!

The thought of this railroad history getting cut-up by the scrapper's torch makes me want to cry. If I had the means I would have both these old waycars placed in my backyard where I could take my time properly restoring them.

What makes the scrapping more unfortunate is that #2 had been donated to the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum and so was "saved". They later deemed that it was too much effort to restore and it was worth more to them in scrap value.
