There is some serious power on the point of this train. The faded Conrail paint that shows a glimpse of PRR solid pin stripe helps to date this photo.

Definitely faded- I snapped a going-away shot of this train passing the signal, and the lead unit's number is also indecipherable on that slide. The 2nd GG-1 is No. 4865. Some of the freight GG-1s kept their single-bulb headlights until the end, unlike Amtrak's, which had the twin sealed beams.
