I feel bad for the engineer. Operating a Geep long hood forward is no fun. It must be pretty bad for a road diesel such as the SD60I. Cool shot though. Thanks for sharing Jim!

I have seen lots of photographs here on this site with locos blowing so much smoke I have to check it is not a "kettle". (A derogatory remark by dieselers about steam locos amongst my friends.) As this is badly or unburned fuel, surely it would pay to have this fixed more often than they do. The loss of power from these three locos on the grade must be noticeable?

I agree Bob. The only thing missing is the Conrail Blue. Great shot by the way but what I don't get is that they have a locomotive facing the direction the train is going, why not swap positions on the first and second motors at the next siding or spur?
